1:54pm Rainy Day Poetry

Dear A,

Told you I would:

Fault Line

My San Francisco soul shakes
and surges from the power
of your perfectly timed glances
and Golden Gate grin.
Pick me up
like the gusts off the Pacific sweep
the city sidewalks
carry me home.
Cable cars travel veins that lead to
and from the pier
where street performers dance
and I'm sure, in your eyes
the sun rises and sets.
I tremble
my foundation cracks but
your words reinforce
my crumbling constancy.

You are an earthquake
and I am a city full of faults.

Love, M
